This beautiful championship course with contoured fairways, thick Bermuda roughs, and strategically placed lakes and ponds opened in July 1989. Built on 170 acres of the finest terrain, the 7,030 yard layout of the Chateau Course, designed by Denis Griffiths, plays to a par 71. Winding along three lakes and two creeks, water comes into play on ten of the eighteen holes while 87 bunkers give definition and character to the course.

4 Stars. This is a wonderful resort course with excellent range facilities. You'll need to hit shots accurately or you'll end up in trouble. The greens are large and undulating.

Ranked in the Zagat Survey's America's Best Golf Courses with Very Good to Excellence scores in all categories. A real find north of Atlanta "crisscrossed by hidden creaks" and bumping along on "hills aplenty", the namesake course is "a solid challenge for any skill level."
