Job Listings on the Web - Getting Started

This guide will get you started quickly editing your listings to appear on the web.

1) How to Login to the Control Panel 

First, the control panel is where you access all the listings.  To start with, open your web browser and visit:  http://www.chateauelanatlanta.com/tigeradmin

Enter the Username and Password provided to you, and click the Login button.  Please remember to keep your login and password safe.  Anyone that has it will be able to enter the system and make changes to the Job Listings!

Now you are logged into the Control Panel.

2) What is the Control Panel?

Just like the first time you used your e-mail perhaps on Yahoo or AOL, at seemed kind of confusing--but after you sent a few e-mails, it now seems pretty easy right?

The Control Panel is not much different. After a you enter your first Job Listing AND see how great it looks on the website, you will have the hang of it. 

To get started, click the People Development tab on the left. 

This opens up 3 categories that you may make additions to:

    Job Categories - These are areas such as Conference Services, Food and Beverage, Spa, Golf, etc.

    Jobs - These are the Job descriptions.  This is where you add and remove job listings.

    Job Locations - These are the Resort Properties.  This section simply allows us to add new properties should the company expand!

2) How to Add a Listing

    1 - Click the People Development on the left side Menu.  Then click the Jobs tab.

    2 - Notice at the top of the Control Panel there is a Insert New Record button.  Click this. 

    3 - Use the drop-down menu and choose your options.  Then fill in the descriptions.

    4 - Click the Submit button when finished.  The website will now show your new listings.

How to Edit a Listing

To edit a listing, simply click it and you will be presented with the same options as when you Add a listing.

How to Remove a Listing

Find the listing you wish to remove, and click it just as you would to edit it.  Notice the last option is OPEN and it offers you a choice of YES or NO?  When a job has been filled, you may click the NO option, and submit.  This will remove the listing from the website, but will not delete your listing from the Control Panel.  This is useful because if job position becomes open again, you can simply click YES and it will post it on the website--and you wont have to re-type the description.

This will sort your listings.  You can also use the other options to only display open positions, or by category the same way.  To see all the jobs again, select Null and click the View Records button at the top.

"Ahhh!!  There are too many Jobs Listed, how do I just view my property's jobs?"

It's true, there are a lot of job listings, and the list will only grow.  Fortunately we can sort them.  Depending on the property you are editing, this will be your first step.  The Location column has a drop-down box.  Click that, highlight your property, and then click the button that says Search.

4) General Tips and Suggestions:

Type your descriptions first in Microsoft Word to check spelling and grammar.  Do your best to make it as professional sounding as possible.

JPG files are the most common format for digital photos. However, when saving pictures from your digital camera you may need to select this as an option.  If you upload a non JPG photo, it will not work.

Very importantly, your login and password are sensitive information.  Keep your password private and never share it.  The control panel does allow you to change your password and I would recommend doing that occasionally.  Those logins allow direct access to editing all our homes on the internet.  Its up to you to protect these.
