1) How to Login to the Control Panel
First, the Control Panel is where you control all the listings. To start with, open your web browser and visit: http://www.chateauelanatlanta.com/tigeradmin
Enter the Username and Password provided to you, and click the Login button. Please remember to keep your login and password safe.
Now you are logged into the Control Panel.
2) What is the Control Panel?
Just like the first time you ever used your e-mail, perhaps on Yahoo or AOL, at seemed kind of confusing--but after you sent a few e-mails you have the hang of it, and it's now so easy you hardly have to think about it! Truly, the Control Panel is not much different. After a you enter your first Job Listing AND see how great it looks on the website, you will have the hang of it.
To get started, click the Real Estate tab on the left. Then click your Property Name.
This opens up 2 categories that you may make additions to:
- Neighborhoods - This is how your Homes are categorized, either by builder or sub-division name. Generally you won't have to edit this often--perhaps when a new neighborhood is created or new builder you will want to add that name this. Ultimately what this does is help organize the homes on the website.
- Homes - These are the Home descriptions. This is where you add and remove home listings.
3) How to Add, Edit and Delete a Listing
To Add a Listing
1) Login to the Control Panel... Click the Real Estate Tab... and click your Property Name.
2) Click the Homes tab.
3) At the top of the Control Panel, click the Insert New Record button.
4) You will be presented with a series of questions to answer about the Home you are adding. Fill these in. There are a lot of options, however you only need to feel in the details you wish to provide for people on the website. See below for information about these options.
5) Click the submit button when finished. The website will reflect your listings automatically.
To Edit a Listing
With the Neighborhood or Homes categories open you can update or change listing information simply by clicking on the item you want to edit.
Below is a summary of options you can edit:
You can fill in the description, address, price, select which neighborhood. For additional details such as acreage or square footage, simply include this in the description.
You can upload photographs for the main picture, and additional pictures if you wish to include them as well. Your photos can be any size JPG file and the website automatically creates thumbnails for the gallery. This is a great place to feature photos of rooms, landscaping, views, anything at all.
Include a PDF or Word document brochure for each home. Some builders may offer these for their homes. Optional.
Insert a link for a 360 degree tour. Optional.
Keep internal notes at the bottom. Optional.
Finished? Click the submit button to save your changes. The website is automatically updated.
To Delete a Listing
While viewing the list of Homes or Neighborhoods, click the check-box next to the home, and click the Delete Selected button at the bottom. Now its deleted. If you accidentally delete a listing that you wish to recover, you may click the Undelete link in the upper left of the screen.
General Tips:
Type your descriptions first in Microsoft Word to check spelling and grammar.
Most Digital Cameras produce great pictures, but always take extra photos so you can select the best for the main photo and tours.
JPG (or Jpeg) files are the most common format for digital photos. However, when saving pictures from your digital camera you may need to select this as an option. If you upload a non JPG photo, it will not work.
Very importantly, your login and password are sensitive information. Keep your password private and never share it. The control panel does allow you to change your password and I would recommend doing that occasionally. Those logins allow direct access to editing all our homes on the internet. Its up to you to protect these.
